ASD Assessment
An autism spectrum disorder (ASD) assessment is a diagnostic assessment
to determine whether an individual’s developmental profile and presentation meets the criteria for a diagnosis of ASD.
We offer assessments from approximately 18 months of age through to adulthood. A referral from a paediatrician is required for all children and adolescents up to the age of 18 years. Adults can self-refer for assessment.

The process involves one face-to-face session.
After this session, the assessors will score all assessments, review developmental history and observations, review past reports, liaise with other therapists (if necessary) and paediatrician (for individuals under 18).
A comprehensive report including reported information,
observations, assessment results, a comprehensive needs assessment
and recommendations is developed.
A feedback session is scheduled which is completed over the phone.
The assessors will provide a draft report for the feedback session and will go through the outcome of the assessments, the layout of the report, recommendations and answer any questions parents / caregivers / individuals may have.
A draft report is provided to enable parents / caregivers / individuals to read through and ensure all reported information has been documented correctly. The assessors will then provide a final copy of the report.
The assessors aim to complete the draft report and feedback session within 4-6 weeks post-assessment.
The tools we use for the assessment may include:
